How To Relocate Battery n 4th Gen
Its very simple. When I did have my battery mounted in the trunk, I mounted a distributor block on the firewall and had two 4 gauge wires running to the starter & fuse box. From the distributor block, 2 gauge wire running through the firewall (there is a hole under the fuse box) into the cabin of the car, under the carpet towards the trunk. You'll need to be creative about mounting the battery. Best spot to mount the battery, is right behind the passenger taillight. Find a good spot to ground the battery and be sure to have some sort of battery box to mount the battery in.

The easiest spot is exactly where you said. Mine is mounted there. However, that is really too far back. Ideal weight distribution would have it closer to the rear seat. I am going to make a metal support to have it right up against the rear seat. Basically , it should not be located any further back than the rear suspension mounts.
I have already have a 2 gauge amp kit run, I always thought it was too big but it just looks like I can put the battery on the opposite end!
PS- It would be a good idea to install an inline fuse just like they do with amplifier kits. Just in case the wire protector gets split somewhere inbetween the battery and distribution block you won't fry anything.
