Default Mini Me IACV HELP!!!!

Ok heres the situation, i just did a y8 mini me on my y7 block. I ran an auto y8 intake manifold and rebuilt the head. we re-pinned the iacv pins in the ecu. We eliminated the orange wire and repinned the blue black to the slot right below the empty space where the orange wire was. the vtec solinoid, oil pressure switch and knock sensor are all wire up correctly. Heres the problem when i start it up the idle surges from 2-3k rpms. When the iacv in unpluged it surges like 1500-2000 rpms. So my freind had a 96 throttle body off a y8 with a fit valve. We put that on and adjusted the idol and its runs good. Vtec engages and it runs strong. But when i give it a little gas the idle surges 1700-1900 rpms? also when started up and its cold it idles really low, like 300-500rpms. Help me please i need to know what would be best to do in my situation! Ive searched but CANNOT find an answer! Should i just run a 2 wire iacv??

Yes run a 2-wire IACV. That's why you repinned and eliminated the orange wire. You also need an ECU that can control the 2-wire IACV and your new vtec. You can use an ECU from a 96-00 EX or you can switch to OBD1 and use a P28. Your y7 ECU does not have the sufficient fuel/timing maps to support vtec, it won't even activate vtec. From what I can tell if you just switch out your y7 ECU for one from a 96-00 EX it will be fine.

does the car idle normally? like 850-1000 rpms? then when you hit the gas it jumps to 1700?

Yea its deff not a vacuum leak. It idles fine i think it might be my tps? Do u think that could cause it?
it doesnt jump up there it reves normal until it gets to 1700 rpms then it bounces up and down slightly if i hold the gas steady. If i rev it more it revs perfect just it has a little surge at that 17-1900 rpms

you need ot hook you iacv back up. take you fitv off, open the other end, and screw the piston all of the way back in. as your car is running make sure there is no air pockets in the coolant. this will mess with an IACV
