Default mini me y7/y8 need help!

Ok heres my setup. I have a 99 civic cx standard with the stock y7 with 100k on it. i installed a 98 y8 head with a 99 y8 intake manifold from an auto. i pluged the correct airports with jb weld and there is no vacuum leaks. i am running a 2000 ex ecu from a standard. i repinned the iacv blue/black wire unpinned the orange wire. the knock sensor vtec oilpressure switch and vtec solinoid are all correctly pinned. when i started up the car the idle would surge from 2-3 grand? when the iacv plug was unconected the idle surged from 1500-2000rpms. everything was rechecked at least half a dozen times. So we came up with the idea to swap throttle bodys to one from a 96 y8 with a fitv on it instead of the iacv. the idle doesnt surge now but it skips wen i give it a little gas. The rpms will flucuate from 17-1900 rpms. But wen i give it a little more gas it revs normally. so i tries running the fitv and the iacv. I just took one hose from the fit and hooked it to the iacv and then the other on the iacv to the fit. It will idle really low when i first start it up but then once it gets warmed up it idles at 1000k. it almost wants to die wen i first start it up. But once its warmed up it will rev fine no hickups or anything. the idle adjustment doesnt have any effect on the idle now?? but wen i get onto it hard the rpm flucuation will start again wen i give it a little gas, ill turn off the car and start it up again and it wont do it till i get onto it hard! So please is there someone on here who can help me fix this? What in the f**k do i need to do!!

Well something dont add up here...

Auto y8's still used a 3 wire iacv so how did you make that work on the 2000 5spd ecu?

Are you getting any engine codes?

Also on all the how to's i found the wiring for the iacv was reversed. i had to swap the wires to get it to idle but i was also getting the engine code for bad iacv.

wel the only code im am gettin is a secondary o2 sensor? for the iacv i just eliminated the orange wire and repinned the blu/black wire from b6 to b23 on the b plug. What wires did you switch to get it to idle correctly? Do u think i should just get a 2 wire iacv?

You should be running a y8 5spd manifold with 2 wire iac and a 5spd ecu.

Thats what i did and it fixed the same issue i was having as your issue.

I also reused the orange wires and repinned it to the KS pinout on the ecu and hooked up the knock sensor as well.

good idea with the knock sensor! Can i just get a 2 wire iacv and just put it in place of the three wire on the throttle body?

No you NEED the mtx intake manifold to run the 2 wire IACV.

your using a auto y8 mani, which doesnt have the 2wire iacv on it, so why did you rewire the harness for it?
what you should do is-
repin it again for the 3 wire iacv(tb mounted one) and run the y7 or auto y8 throttle body
or get a 5spd intake mani and run the 2 wire iacv on the back of it.

also make sure your using the right tb gasket, it should match the tb, not the manifold.

You NEED the mtx manifold and 2 wire iacv end of story.

Until you do that nothing else matters.

Pretty sure that i can drill and tap the back of the manifold to mount a two wire iacv and get a manual y8 throttle body. Since i got the tools and it would be cheaper i think thats the way ill go

Does the manual y8 have a fit valve on the bottom of the throttle body? Looks like it mite. i already have a throttle body off a manual 96 ex so all i need is the 2 wire iacv and some hose! all ive got to do it either mount the iacv to the back of the intake manifold of create a block off plate for the back of it! from the diagram it looks like it will be pretty simple
