So yesterday i went to my first auto-x event as a driver and had an absolute blast. i did get lost on my first run even though i walked the course twice, but i got my bearing on teh course pretty quick after that. i only smashed a few cones, but i did dnf 2 times. my first run when i got lost i dnf'd then i ran an 86 second time, my third run which is the vid below, i dnf'd cuz i slid off track coming out of a slalom, my 4th run i had a clean run of 81 seconds, then i ran an 80.155 second time on my last run. all in all the pro guys said i did very well for a first timer. my buddy in the J's racign sponsored s2k on the vid ran a best of 80.360 his car is fully built suspension wise, so i was impressed with my time being faster than his.

it wont be my last either i place 42nd out of 79 in overall, and 13th out of 29 in my class. not bad for my first auto-x i dont think.

 

Just not bad? You beat out 1/2 the field your first time. Most importantly it sounds like you had fun.

 

i didnt know i did that well til they posted the results today.

 

Glad you had fun, I was there with my 07 FG2 I believe I was running behind you. My first event was the Novice school they had here on March 15th, I was hooked after that event...
