wassup everyone!!!

everytime i get between 3000 - 3500 RPM in any gear, i hear a rattle from my engine. i checked it out and can't pin point it. i think it's something internal. does anybody have any idea what it could be? my engine has 136000 miles. stock 98 gsr w/i.h.e.

check on motor mounts. compression test on piston rings. valve adjustment.

 

Do you hear that whole time between 3k and 3.5k or is it just real quick?

 

do you have a stock exhaust manifold with the heat sheild on it? if so the heat shield could be rattling on it.. just an idea

 

Almost all integras end up with a rattle like this in the stock exhaust manifold. If you have a stock manifold it is most likely that, there is a metal piece in the bottom half that breaks loose and rattles, easiest fix is to put aftermarket header on

 

OP says he has I/h/e so there is not stock manifold...
OP... have you changed out your stock cat? If not it could be the heat sheild.
