This has been a controvesy for some time now.
For those who dont know, some people claim that the stock Integra Type R sideskirts are longer than non ITR stock side skirts. Others say it's nonsense and that the skirts are exactly the same.
Well, I'm here to tell you: THEY'RE DIFFERENT.
The Integra Type R side skirts are indeed longer than the GSR, LS, RS, and GS side skirts.
The basic question in my mind is: if both the ITR and Non ITR side skirts are exactly the same - where does that extra length come from? There are really only two possibilities, either the sides skirts have different lengths or the Integra chassis have different lengths.
I purchased a set of JDM ITR side skirts from a reputable shop that imports JDM parts. The side skirts look OEM, stock, unaltered, and unmodified. There is no reason to believe these are regular (non ITR) side skirts painted CW.
ITR Side Skirt

Non ITR Side Skirt

The first thing I did was grab my stock 94' LS Integra side skirt and laid it next to the ITR side skirt I had just received.
I immediately noticed that the shapes are different. This different shaped area is where the side skirt attached to the rear quarter panel. Could it be that this different shape is why the ITR side skirt is longer?

Note the red highlight:

Next I measured the length of the sideskirts. Visually, one didnt look significantly longer than the other. However....
The LS side skirt is about 2/16ths shy of 6 feet.

Whereas ITR side skirt is about 6 feet and 1/4".

Next, I wanted to put them on my car. This would be the true test in my mind.
And as expected, the ITR side skirt fit flush against the wheel arch:

While the stock LS did not:

Finally, I decided to check it's item number as it's molded into the part itself.
ITR Part Number, it reads 71800-ST7-0000 (right side skirt):

It's the same part number as the stock OEM side skirt. So from what I have personally tested, the differences are: different lengths, different shape near rear quarter panel area, and of couse the ITR comes painted.
Conclusion: The Integra Type R side skirt is longer, no doubt about it. Why Honda would make such a subtle change is hard to understand or explain. Even worse is the fact the the part numbers are the same. I my mind, the only way to order this part would be to specficially state you need a side skirt for an ITR and in the color of your choice. If anyone is still skeptical about the information I provided here, I challange anyone to post irrefutable evidence that they are the same.
Until then, the Integra Type R and Non Type R side skirts are different.

hrmm, why would honda do that... even if you do have pictures people are going to think the skirts might of been retrofitted somehow without your knowledge. Your going to need a crapload of proof to overturn this! looking forward to pics.
PatrickGSR94 made some threads a while back. I am still not convinced that they are the same from how they look on my car: flush at the front and abpout 1/4" of space at the rear.

OP, use a tape measure and provide some exact lengths.

PatrickGSR94's testing was inherently flawed. He simply slid his side skirt back and from that, concluded that the side skirts are the same. In fact, in his pictures we never saw the mudflap removed - which could have hid the extra 1/4" from the front.
The only thing I forgot to do was to compare the part numbers on the side skirts. The right side skirt is 71800-ST7-0000, so if anyone can look up a part number for a GSR right side skirt we can see if they are indeed the same. But if I recall correctly, the numbers are the same.

lol, did you look at the pictures? There's about a 1/4" difference in length - they're not the same.

That was my question in the original threads that was not satisfactorily answered. The tape measure will not lie.

The part numbers also differ.
GSR R side sill (unpainted): 71800-ST7-000
GSR L side sill (unpainted): 71850-ST7-000
ITR R side sill (PY): 71800-ST7-Z00ZN
ITR R side sill (NBP): 71800-ST7-Z00ZP
ITR L side sill (PY): 71850-ST7-Z00ZN
ITR L side sill (NBP): 71850-ST7-Z00ZP
The color code is the last two letters on the ITR. The GSR side sills end with 000, the ITR sills end with Z00. They are different parts. The measurements and pictures confirm this.

I belive you fellow honda lover. Just cause I know that you wouldn't go through the trouble of all this for nothing. I also belive that the part numbers are the same and still the parts are diffrent. Truth is always the wierdest.
EDIT: Next time I'll read to the end before I post.. Did not realize this had been settled with part number research.

Whether or not they are the same or different is irrelevant. Buying ITR side skirts because your non-R skirts don't sit flush with your rear wheel arches is a waste of money. If your non-R skirts don't sit flush with the rear wheel arch, you didn't install them correctly.
When you remove your side skirts by sliding them forwards, the clips are left on the body. If you try to install them in reverse, the skirt will never get slid all the way back far enough to sit flush on the tail end.
Instead, remove the clips from the body, install the clips in the skirt, and then simply push the skirt into place on the car. As my pics showed in my threads, the tail end of the skirt will sit perfectly flush with the rear quarter panel arches.
