2000 integra type R. yellow. 9 miles. brand new.
my friend is selling his integra type R. #00-0147
He has stored it from day one, and even got it flat bedded from the dealership.
no one has sat in it and has been properly stored in a heated garage under a cover and placed on jack stands. The fluids have been drained out of the car and stored in containers.
9 miles on the odometer and it is stock from factory.the interior still has the shrink wrap on it.
He resides in long island NY and is looking to sell it.
He is asking 27850 firm, which barely covers his expenses with storing this car.
Serious buyers may inquire by IM'ing me for the time being.
We realize to alot of you this may be out of your budget, however for the diehard enthusiast who wishes to own a piece of history, here it is.
We will provide all paperwork including the window sticker which is still attached and untouched.
If you are interested, please IM me to arrange a visit to check out the car. Due to the unusual rarity of this car in this kind of condition, we will be asking for a 500 dollar REFUNDABLE deposit prior to looking at the car (upon arrival), as well as 2 forms of ID.
Comments welcomed, however please keep them positive.

WOuldn't a car go bad if you didn't drive it fora long time
I mean not changing any fluids?
I heard this happen to many people
Storing a car like that is very harsh on the car.
Engine nees to run
hehe
Thats what I was always told
I could be wrong but good luck with the sale
it's definately worth that range of cash

Well...not 100% wrong. If you store it correctly, like it seems your friend has, then no, the car won't "go bad." But if you have a car with dirty fluids and such, and it isn't prepared for storage, then yes, it can be bad to leave it without being run. That sorta happened to my car over the school year since my dad only drove it once a week max
I'm coming up with all sorts of little leaky places and small problems that suck. But anyway, yeah. I'd jump on that if I had the cash

hell no, i say that it's a sad waste of a car! I hope someone buys it and gives it what it needs, nay, what it *wants*! Hehe. Of course, anyone who is going to pay that much for an R probably will try and just crate it and sell it again in 25 years for $35K or something crazy. oh well, to each his own.

consider what happened with several 1950-1960 cars....
Excellent Car and I'm sure it's in incredible condition!! But, IMO, what a waste of a wordclass performance machine. I wish I had the money to buy it and treat it right!

. No pictures available. its a brand new ITR. no pictures really required.
I always thought about doing that but Im about 5-10 years too young. Imagine how much a mint type R w/ no miles will be worth when its about 30-50 years old. Probably more than the muscle cars of old.
Here is something to think about though. Back in the day the cars were fast from the factory. We have to build ours to be fast. How will people treat our cars when they are antiques. In stock form they are boring.

IMO of course.....
I think it is a mistake to treat an R as a possible collector`s car in say 50 years. Nothing wrong with taking care of the car but treating it as an "investment" is the wrong way to go with the R. Perhaps if one could freeze it for 150 years for $50 a person would have something worth paying an extra $5k for.
As much as all of us R owners (or ex-R owners) would like to believe it is already or soon to be a collector`s car, it simply just isn`t and will not be the case until 100 years have passed if at all.
If one was interested in learning what cars are worth storing for a number of years and paying extra money in the hope others will pay more than you did try a search and check out some legit collector sites. There you will also find criteria that constitutes a collector or possible collector automobile.
Good luck in selling the R, but your "wise" friend just wasted money. You guys should have driven the R to the strip clubs - would`ve been money better spent.
Then again who knows, maybe tomorrow Acura will stop making cars and 50,000 Rs around the world will suddenly explode making the remaining Rs worth $1k more.
