Zeal B2 coilovers leaking oil
I noticed a thunking noise coming from the front drivers side shock when going over bumps a couple days ago. I just pulled the wheel off to check it out and found the shock body covered in oil. anyone else with zeals ever blown a shock? are these rebuildable in the US? these coilovers only have about 4k miles on them, with one track event, the rest is all street driving. i have had them since january of this year.
You're the second person I know that has had a bad shock. A close freind of mine bought his around the same time you did. After one solo event he had to send the shock back to A&J for it to be rebuilt.
Let's hope this isn't a sign of things to come... My B2s have held up very well, with many lapping events on them. This looks like a workmanship issue and not a wear problem.

BABY NSX, was it one of the front shocks that was bad? Did AJ rebuild it or did they send it back to japan? do you know if they charged him anything? thanks
Did you break the shock in correctly?
I know that some guys have had problems in the past with different shocks, not because they were faulty but just because they didn't break them in properly
With my shocks i sat in the basement and pressed each one 200 Times, and then drove easy on them for 500Kms just to make sure they wouldn't have problems, and i haven't had a single problem with them after a couple track events and very agressive weekend driving no problems

I believe u don't have to do this procedure?
Actually it said right in the manual that came with the shocks
For proper break in, that's the procedure it allows the shock to be broken in without load on it
they don't say 200 times, only 50, but i had about 5 guys so we all just sat there watching PayPerView Satellite pressing shocksk, and i haven't had a problem with my shocks yet
If i'm investing the money in something i'll take the time to do it right and not have it break rather then rush it and have it break
