Default DIY Valve lash adjustment tool, to save you money and time

i learnt this diy valve lash adjustment tool from a web site. and i gave it a try this morning and it really work.
u will need a deep 10 mm socket and a 5/8" wrench and a flat head screw driver. and u hammer the 10mm socket into the wrech, it was not really hard to hammer it in.and it is really tight and secure. or u want to pay a honda valve lash adjustment tool from anywhere $12~$60 plus shipping.
the kit that i diy made only costs me about $2~$3 bucks. and it worked really well..i adjusted the valve of my b16a this morning. it worked like a charm.
and yes u will need to hold the screw driver while turning the lock nut. there is no way u can use regular deep socket and wrench and do this valve lash adjustment job.

He's trying to make one of these.

It enables you to easily hold the adjusting nut while rotating the adjusting screw, and also easily hold the adjusting screw while tightening the adjusting nut.

thats a good deal but for my situation. i dont want to wait for the shipping. it is not the money that matters. cause i went to 3 auto stores last night tried to get the right tool so i can do the adjustment this sunday monring or otherwise i would have to wait until next sat and my valve cover is like tapping crazy.

No all you have to do is get a box-end wrench to hold the nut, and use a screw driver, its free . Now have you done a honda valve lash job? lol.

That's how I do it, but it's kind of a pain in the *** trying to get leverage with my particular 10mm wrench (open-end). However, I'm not going to ruin a socket for a make-shift tool either. I plan on buying the Snap-On unit.

snap on box and open ended wrench have the right angle so you dont need the tool.
