Well heres the steps i used:
I wouldnt be able to tell you the exact time but i had to do 2 one day and 2 the next b/c i had to go to work before i got done one day. But i would take it on as a full day project, lol. But the major key is, Take Your Time.
1. Took them off car, cleaned them thoroughly with degreaser.
2. Sanded them with 320 and i think it was 400 grit also that i used. (until i everything was as mooth as i could get it)
3. Cleaned thoroughly again.
4. Masked off the tires with painters tape, If i was to do it again i would use index cards, i read about guys doing that after i did mine, and it seems alot easier.
5. Then i painted them with Duplicolor wheel paint, (Graphite Gray). I Sprayed each with 6 coats and its been a couple months and i have yet to notice any chips or anything so im happy with it.
I'll have a pic for you in just a minute or two when webshots quits being gay.

Nah i sure didn't, I bought Primer and Clearcoat ad didnt use either one, lol. The guy i got advice from off of here who had a 6g Black Hatch used the same paint on the same kind of GSR rims, and i loved the way he's turned out so i used his process which is what i gave you, and plus i was afraid the clearcoat would make it shiny, and i didnt want that.

no sanding at all, just black primer first and then the red, u just have to take ur time and dont rush
I fully cleaned and degreased the wheels, wet sanded with 500, then 800. Masked everyhting off including the valve stem, and applied several coats until I was pleased and had a matching set of four.
You can't beat that with a wiffle ball bat!
