im trying to get my mugen side skirts on and the mugen ones dont have the brackets like the stock ones so they dont fit tightly



and then the back end is lose all the way because the bottom screws dont match u



can someone please tell me what im doing wrong?

You do not take out the stock side skirts. It's not a replacement, it's an add-on.

Does this apply to Mugen knock offs like Wings West as well?
My friend has wings west and there doesn't seem to be stock side skirts underneath.

 

LOL...can't imagine that they failed to mention that in the directions... Mugen has excellent instructions for their products, and even though I can't read Japanese the pictures are always helpful.

 

These side skirts will be seeing paint like ASAP won't they? I wouldn't even put them on until they are painted.

 

YOu always test fit before you get it paint tho

OMG!!! thank you so much for posting this!!! i have been trying to figure out how to do this for the past 2 weekends!!! I have the fiberglass ones also and had the same exact problem assuming that you take off the stock skirts.

 

About taking off the stock skirts....

when I took it off my car, there wasn't any stock skirts beneath it......

 

You probably had the OEM side skirts that were oval at the rear wheel well because you have to take off the stock plastic side skirts that are straight in order to install the OEM side skirts... you know what I mean?

 

I always thought all of Mugen's body kits were hand laid fiberglass...That stuff looks like chopped strand mat.
