07 Si sedan having trouble with 3rd gear
Is anyone out there having problems with shifting into 3rd under moderate to normal acceleration? It doesnt go into gear all the way and sometimes not at all. Its pissing me off to no end 
. I only have 8000 miles on it. If anyone has had this problem could you let me know what it was and what was done to fix it. It would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

please search next time, i don't even have an si and i know about this problem. there have been a bajillion threads on this already. for the time being go get new mtf. honda is adressing this issue and working on a permanent fix.

for not searching... but almost everyone is having this problem... mine wasnt that bad just a little notchy... 15,000 mile tune up (replaced tranny fluid) and it was A OK ... heh now 2nd is notchy... hmmm...

Let your car warm up. hold your clutch and shift into all the gears a few times. That should take care of it. People hear are so rude sometime, so search for thing you need.

I know the RSX has had a 3rd gear issue as well. I'm wondering if it has to due with the tranny only holding ~1.6 quarts of fluid versus a b-series that holds a quart more.
it interesting, especially since the issues with 3rd seem to happen after a period of time and go away almost completely with a fluid change.

oh, I was just saying accords have trouble with third gear also, I didn't know how much fluid they held. My manager just got an 06 or 07 (i cant remember exactly what year) accord coupe v6 6spd manual and he was complaining about the 3rd gear grind.
