RC 550cc/min injectors... Lucas disc???
For a F/I SOHC running 1bar of boost... is the Lucas disc spray pattern the ideal one for a daily driver??? I had no idea what spray pattern I had until I took a look at the spec sheet that came with the injectors...
The RC spec sheet says:
INJECTOR TYPE: P&H 2.5
INJECTOR MAKE : LUCAS
At least I know that the injectors are of the low-impedance sort, so I'll be able to use in conjunction with the resistor pack, but is the spray pattern proper for my application??

Lucas type disc injectors have a more concentrated laser beam style "squirt" pattern that is well suited to penetrating a high velocity air stream.
They won't mist like a pintle injector so low rpm atomization won't be as good but higher rpm is real nice.
Also the disc type injectors are much faster and your car won't burble when you let off the gas.
They'll be fine for daily driving if tuned properly.

Also sometimes with the Lucas you will notice that coming from a short blip of the throttle coming back down to idle, the motor will struggle for a sec to catch back up to normal idle range--at least for me anyways.
