Default SLS Mini Ram SOHC Users: Please HELP!

Having a few issues with how low the turbo is hanging and running the return line. If some of you could post some pics to give me ideas it'd be greatly appreciated. Any mini ram will do, but preferably pics of SLS mini rams of sohc's of course. Thanks!

I am having the same problem but with a b18. I am just going to cut the nipple on the bottom of the turbo so it gives it more of a slope.

You need to clock the center catridge, then what we do is run a 45 barb fitting right off the turbo into a straight barb fitting into the oil pan. There is enough room for a nice straight shot into the pan if positioned properly. I'll try and set one up tomorrow and get some pics.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful manifold, but the functionality isn't quite up to par. But oh well, I will figure it out, and make it a point I run their manifold. I will try clocking the turbo a tab. I have two 45's and a straight barb so I should be able to pull it off. Haven't tryed clocking the turbo yet because it's my "mach" turbo. It's a t3/t4 .50 trim. I ordered a new garrett t3 super 60 and it's on back order from garret but would be here any day I think? But I was thinking, more like hoping, the t3 super 60 will somehow sit a little higher, but I know that's not the case since they're both t3 housings lol, but let me wish damnit.

hmm... i think if you ditched the two 45's off the turbo and ran a single 90 you'd be good. I know it's the same angle, but it will take less space, which means it should bring your line up a bit. Keep the turbo clocked the way it is, just try a 90 on the housing then a straight on the pan. lol im running those same exact fittings! but I got two 45s and a straight. think I'ma clock the turbo, run a 45 and a straight.

I'll make a point to try get pics tomorrow of how we do the return line. I appreciate you bringing up this review, it helps us further customer support w/ installation. Maybe we'll have to offer an optional return line kit for the shorty manifold to make this a simple bolt on affair.

lol I don't sound to sound like a dick or anything about it, I'm just having trouble with it, but I think if I clock the turbo it can be done. I really do like the manifold though. It's purty lol. I'm very satisfied with the product by all means. This isn't a big deal to me consider the head aches I've gone through this build. I know it can and will be over come, just gotta spend more than a hour on it lol. Had a few plans tonight so I couldn't get in "too deep". I don't think first dates entitle you to showing up in grease and oil on your hands lol. But if you post pics I'd be so so happy

its ok to be a little low on the pan guys, remember oil is circulating thru the motor/pan/oiling system the whole time the car is running.

GREDDY's oil return is in the OIL DRAIN PLUG with a banjo fitting, this is no doubt the lowest point of the pan, and it is completely fine.

i know a greddy user who has had his return line in the oil drain bolt as the kit said to do, for over 60,XXX miles on a stock H22.

I filled the oil pan with 4 qaurts of water to see where the "full" point is and made a line to see where it is. I understand the oil level drops with that car running, but I didn't want it to be backed up when I turned the car off either. But like I said, I'll get her figured out. I am just a ***** for looking at other peoples setups.

ya, my drain line is kinda long, gives a little pooling area, but is not an issue... that is a little low though. I agree with clocking your turbo to a 45 degree with the drain towards the pan, I had to do mine opposite.

Clock the center section of the turbo and use a 45 fitting off the turbo and it plumbs right into the pan.

could save some space by using a return flange with the -10 male fitting right on the flange.
