ebay turbo kits have been known to be one of the worst things you could do to your car. I have heard nothing but horror stories about ebay kits and will never use one. just my .02

I got one, and got so sketched out about the gamble, I didn't put it on my car. Figured it wasn't worth it, even if there was a possibility of working well. Sold it for a profit after leaving it in my garage for a few months.

eBay turbo kits: IMO, not worth the risks.

id deal with used kits before new ebay kits. but i wouldnt mind an ebay manifold to redo or rework if it was cheaper than stainless stock at the local metal supply

I could mention all the most popular turbo brands in a list:

Greddy
Turbonetics
Edelbrock
etc.

....but I'd rather give you more useful advice.

Talk to the folks in the Forced Induction, they're very knowledgeable, and will help you well on your way, giving more information that can be well put together than most of the conflicting answers you'll get here.

not because im selling one but my first turbo setup was a ebay kit.....at least the manifold and i had no problems.

I used a ebay manifold, saab t3 and had a custom downpipe running 7lbs with no problems.

With that said i do have a ebay kit "manifold' turbo and downpipe for sale
just PM me
thanks

build one from scratch. sooo much cheaper that way. these "turbo kits" are over priced imo. but if u read up on it and do your homework. youll come out with more money and a bad *** turbo setup.

If you're low on money you don't need to be spending it on your car.

my friend had one on his D16z6. was reliable but dont feel like how it was when everything was new (less pull).
also expect to spend another grand or more for things like tuning, gauges, fuel pump, injectors, labor, ect.

peice one together, it will be more reliable and better performing for close to the price of the ebay ones. The pre-made kits are expensive because your paying for a name most of the time
