Honda Motors Online (long)
Well I just have to give praise to this company. They are the best, hands down, in customer service. Here's my story..
I purchased a full B16 swap from them with everything I needed to get it done. He even included some 90 Integ hubs, knuckes, and brakes, as long as I pay 50 more for extra shipping charges! Well the engine got to the shop were I was getting it done within that week. It left on Monday and got here on Friday. Well everything was going good, the engine came in looking very good. There was nothing broken, and everything that I ordered came in fine. Well the shop completed the swap and tried to turn it over with no success??? They checked the compression and it's very low. Low as in 30, 15,25, and 50. The shop calls me and tells me the bad news, and say's that the engine is no good. Well I call Steve and he assures me that they do a compression check on the engines, because he makes sure he only sells quality stuff. He say's that he is very surprised that the engine was bad because he has never had a bad engine before. (keep in mind that he only sells the best of the best). Well before I could say another word he quickly tells me that he's going to send me another longblock, and to not worry about it. He's going to send it on a 3 day shipping. Well at this point I'm extremely happy that not only is he willing to help, but he's doing it as quick as possible. The only problem I have now is that the shop I'm getting it done at is going to charge me another 500 to remove the bad engine and install the new one!!! Well I call Steve back and ask him if there's anything that he can do to help me out since it wans't me fault the engine's compression was bad. Well guess what, He's going to pay for the labor charge from the shop. I got the invoice that the shop gave me and he is going to reimburse me for the cost!! Like I said before, he has never had this happen and he is going out of his way to make sure I'm happy. Well all I have to say is that I'm 110% satisfied with his company. I didn't just order from him because I found him on the web. I compared the feed back I received from here, and choose him because he seemed to be the best. My decision was correct, he is the best. I'm just sharing my story with the fellow H-T members because I know how hard it is to trust someone you haven't even met. But like Steve said before he told me he was sending me another engine, "actions speak louder than words." That is soo true.

that is AWESOME.BTW, i notice you're in dallas...who are you getting to do the swap? Jotech...Intercrew...Concept...Top End.......? or someone else? i'm lookin for a shop to do the labor on my h22 here pretty soon.
With so many shady engine importers around it's good to know some people still know how to please the customer
Import Auto Slavage and Honda Motors Online are the ONLY people i'll buy from!

steve RULES
thats where i got my swap
even when employees mixed up parts for b16 swaps (someone at the same time ordered a first gen b16 for an eg and got my stuff like shift linkage, mounts etc i got all his stuff. but the correct motor) he sent me the correct stuff ASAP
when i get my b20
it will probably be through him (unless i get a killer deal)

i really think your story is BS if not you probably know someone from HONDAMOTORSONLINE. The biggest companys would never do something like that. I know damwell a small company like HONDAMOTORSONLINE would never do that for anybody who had that problem unless you know them. Maybe sending you out a new block might happen once you send them back the old block, but WTF paying for the labor charges. Sorry I think your story is BS, or your good friends with someone form HONDAMOTORSONLINE.

Well Steve, you are entitled to your own opinion. But I can guarantee you that I don't know anyone at HondaMotorsOnline, nor have even even met anyone there. Nor do I know anyone that knows anyone that works form HondaMotorsOnline. I probably would have a hard time believing a story like mine too, but it's the god honest truth. I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't happening to me. He IS sending me another longblock, and I still have the other one at the shop. He's going to want it back, but is willing to send me out his first. Now once the other one get's here, the bad one will be shipped back to him for proof. I'm not some punk kid or a scammer, and I'm sure he can sense that from my personality. He's going out on a limb here because I could very well just get 2 engines for the price of 1, but it's all about honesty. I always follow the Golden Rule, and wish more people did too. Like I said Steve, you're entitled to your own opinion, but I'm living proof that this is true.

he treats all his customers with dignity and respect....talk to the guy for 5 min and you'll know what i mean. and also you're right about a big company not doing anything like this..but you missed the point. the point is a SMALL (relatively) company like HMO actually WILL take the time to help it's customers. i think that's something that is very lacking in the import business boom. and think about it...do you honestly think steve is losing much money helping this guy? i HIGHLY doubt it. he's rakin in the $$$ 24/7..he can afford to help his customers when stuff screws up. (although i'm sure he doesn't do this for every single person). anyway, i believe the guy. Talk to Steve and you will too.

I haven't seen the Teg you're talking about. But yeah Jotech was the only other place I called about labor charges, and it was pretty damn high. But then again they have been in the business for quite a while now, so you're just paying for their experience in the scene.
i've met steve in person when i went to pick up my engine, hes really really cool, he'll hook you up with whatever it is you need to complete your swap without hesitation, the story does sound like its too good to be true, but this guy doesn go out of his way to make sure everything goes good, gives his company a great rep, and sets the bar on what other engine importers should be like
