Default Another H2B Build.....My Kiwi Green Coupe Project

Started my H2B build this week. Have been gathering the parts for the past few months, doing it piece by piece and getting the shell prepped. This is truly a budget build, parts were bought and traded when i had the time and money.

Hopefully my bro (allmotorhatch) and i can have the motor and trans dropped in by Sunday so I can take it to get wired up. Id love to make it to the NHRA event but i am not going to get sloppy and rush it. Next post will be finished product and hopefully with dyno , tune and track times...

Here are the pics of what is done:

Started out looking like this

Quick Run-in with the paint booth-

And out she comes like this - Color is Kiwi Green Metallic from an 07 Element.

Before we started last night-

And after a malfunctioning cherry picker forced us to get beastly on the poor D series-

Little wire cleaning

The next step is to put these 2 future lovers together- jdm h22a and a Ctr trans w/lsd and 4.7 fd

Just some awaiting parts- CF hood, sparcos, tach, evo kit, clutch, ericks header, in-tank pump

F & R Bumpers, front lip and my CF rear diffuser in the usps box

Dropped the car off for paint on a friday night and picked up on Monday morning. My buddy did it for 800 bucks.... For what i wanted it to be, i didnt need to paint the bay, plus its black so its not that bad, budget!!!.....

Just go to ericks racing's website for info ....

the header is for a regular H swap, not for an H2B. I have to move the collector myself.

Not exactly sure how much it was new, bought it from HT member used. Sorry

haha I know ! my buddy went to school to work at a body shop and has been working there for a few months. But never painted a whole car, so i asked him if he wanted to do mine. My little bro's old hatch had a 5k paint job and we cried everytime it got scratched so i just wanted something cheaper, but it acually ended up coming out flawless. He turned out to be a natural lol.....

Engine Hoist Broke with motor on it and bent a lot of stuff.

Still having trouble finding a thermostat housing for a JDM H22a.

Wires are tucked and a little Jenny Craig was done. But thats bout it...

gonna be more than moving that collector on that header though, more like aiming every thing after the pan, down 15 degrees.

keep it up, don't scratch those fenders either, especially w/ that hoist you have!

I'll be doing a little bit of both, bending and re-welding.

Oh and tell me about the fenders, was cleaning the bay and the throttle cable shot up and scratched the fender already. gotta love it !!!!
