I just called the dealership to order the parts for the rear wiper removal. there are two parts you have to order and one thats kinda optional

Bolt Part# 90156-SH3-000 $0.15
Plug Part# 90301-SR3-000 $20.00
Grommet(opt.) Part# 76707-ST7-000 -Told me to call an acura dealership(apparently honda parts departments can't order acura???)

Ok, why is that crappy little plastic plug twenty bucks?? Did i get a wrong part number or something? That seems pretty messed up. Does anyone know???
I searched the board and found a couple of much cheaper alternatives but has anyone tried them? Thanks

Do what I did. Go to Lowes and get a 2 inch elevator bolt, it is black and has a flat top on it. Also get a washer that the bolt can run through and a wing nut that will fit the bolt. Remove the wiper and the motor. Leave the black rubber cap that is on the window. Run the flat black bolt through the hole and place the washer on the other end and tighten it up with the wing nut. Works just like the kit from Honda. Only cost about 2 bucks for parts and so far it has been water proof. Have fun.

yea i saw that too and said hell no. i just went to home depot w/rubber washed in had and found a metal cap from the bathroom section of the store. cost me all of 50 cents

$12.78 for the nut, p/n 90301-sr3-000, and used the plastic cap and a bolt from the wiper....and for you home depot guys....bootleggers!!

 

haha what i did was take the black gromment from the firewall in my G3 and secure the bottom with sum zip ties... Lolz works like a charm Its ghetto but hey works and I wouldn't want to spend that much money just for that dumb gromment.
