Default B20/Vtec 1/4 Mile Times *RAN AT TRACK!*

Well I finally ran my car at the track. There is a pic of it all squatted down gettin ready to haul *** . Anyways Liam and I modified the fuel system, 63psi of fuel pressure, and -35% on VAFC hack. I was able to boost 10psi and made a best run of 13.08 @ 113.30

My Time Slip
React: .677
60ft: 2.252
330: 5.894
1/8: 8.708
1/4: 13.083
MPH: 113.30

That was my best all day after 6 runs. Was very consistenly running low 13's. Was hoping to break into the 12's but it spun the tires all the way though 3rd. I am sure with some slicks it would of easily laid down a mid 12.

Anyways Thought I would show everybody that the VAFC hack works quite well. I haven't seen many ppl posting times with it so here ya go.

My setup is a built b20/vtec w/ T3/T04E, greddy intercooler.

Late

Nice sleeeper.

That is faaast, 13 seconds with STREET TIRES. Not bad

Also, what kind of injectors/fuel pump are you utilizing? And was this with Pump gas?

What kind of pistons/rods are you using?

Depends. The VAFC hack DJDXM is talking about involves using a VAFC and bigger injectors (and the supporting accesories... ie fuel pump) to control fuel for boost. The best way to show you how it works is to go to http://www.thedropshop.tv/vafc.htm

That would be sweet also didn't unbolt my exhaust. Does that make that much of a difference? i have open atmosphere dump, but a max-rev 2.5" downpipe, test pipe and a tanabe g-power exhaust or whatever it is. but i know its 2.5"

I was thinking the same exact thing. With proper traction, you should be able to get a much better time BTW Where is that track? It looks like ****.

why only 10psi? Turn up that boost!

Once my fully built b20vtec swap is done, I'll be running daily 15psi.

Is your block sleeved? Have any head work?

I need better fuel management. I cannot run more boost with the VAFC hack I am pushing 10 to 10.5psi out of it before it throws codes. I am going to get a hondata with some 750cc injectors, (or bigger) and going to try to get about 14-15psi out of it w/ pump gas. And push more on race gas. Some of my friends are making 450-475whp outta theres around 20psi.

This was the cars first outting, and I wanted to see what it could do under its current setup. I was quite impressed, but very tempted to go back and do it again with a set of slicks. I would love to throw down a low 12.

I ordered my drag radials few days ago so ill be ready to go. oh btw is this on stock bottom end? because im running same setup but im scared to go past 6.5psi my fuel is similar to yours also I have 60 psi fuel pressure, walbro intank but i am running 310cc injectors with vafc, but hondata coming soon so ill be ditching the 310 for proly some 550cc. Good run though

Its a built bottom end. I am just waiting to get a little better fuel management and run 14+ psi.

I might be at the track this next weekend with a set of slicks.. 22x8 MT's... gonna see what i can pull with some traction and the same setup

Good luck with yours.

Built as in resleeved? Stock B20 bore, I assume?

Anyways, great MPH. Was this on full interior too, or no?

Its stock sleeves, 84.5MM Endyn rollerwave's, eagle rods. Tryin to see what i can pull outta the stock b20 sleeves since they are alot thicker then my b16 sleeves were.

I removed the rear seat and my sub box and stuff in my trunk. Other than that it was full interior. Also had full exhaust. 2.5" tanabe a test pipe though.
