what are the differences of the 2 ?

 

B18C1 = USDM GSR MOTOR

B18C = JDM GSR or TYPE R MOTOR (not 100% sure on this one)

There is a b18c3, jeez, Ask the guy on here that bought 2 of them, and took pics
THink it was the Euro type R

 

B18C2=aussie vtir (gsr)

 

All JDM motors are labeled B18C. The way to distinguish the block is by the serial number.

 

B18C3 - euro civic Vti (EK)

 

180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (JDM)
170Hp 121Trq 10.1 Compression (USDM)

Both are the same price but one has more 10 more hp. I heard that the JDM motors are not taking care of >> hardly change the oil, etc.....

The higher compression is also not as good for boosting right?

I've been leaning towards a B18C1 for the longest for my Eg hatch. Just doing a final research before I buy the motor next month
