Default SCAMMED by b18b5?

A gentleman by the name of Chhunlay Thay (b18b5 on this board) sold me an ITR t/b for 220 shipped. He then shipped me a GSR t/b. I contacted him shortly there after and he said he was selling it for a friend and I needed to ship the t/b to him so he could get the money from his friend (he'd also pay for shipping of t/b to him). I mailed the t/b to him (I admit I was laggy on shipping it and it took me a few months to get it out as I was extremely busy at the time). He does not pick up the t/b and it is sent back to me. He no longer responds to emails. I have his phone number and address.

What do you think?

I'd rather not ruin someone's rep, but I think I've waited long enough and it's time this is settled.

Me thinks it was shitty to get the wrong part.

BUT, if you waited MONTHS to send it back, he prolly figured you decided to keep it. Always try and look at these things from BOTH points of view

Yes, that's why I'm not trying to jump to conclusions. But while I lagged, he knew I was going to ship the t/b back. I never made it appear as if I was keeping this t/b. On the phone with a friend of mine, he seemed helpful enough. I just want to settle this and move on. He seems like a reasonable individual.

I think its sucks that ekb18b5's friend sold a gsr tb and claiming it to be an itr tb. I think his friend needs to get his **** together and learn what parts are what.

I didn't receive any email from you and I check my mail continuously throughout the day. Please resend it. It is unacceptable for me to keep this t/b. I will only accept a full refund for both the t/b and ALL shipping charges. Anything less is unacceptable. I can have the t/b mailed to someone in cali who will then do the exchange with you. That way is most feasible for me, being that last time I mailed you the t/b you didn't pick it up. Please let me know.

Both did something bad he sent wrong item you took a few months to return the wrong item back. if i paid for something and got something else, one thing i would be pissed and another thing it would be sent back the same or next day i spoke to the seller not a few months.

I just wanna say that ive done thousands of dollars worth of JDM buisness with Mr. Thay and he has also gotten things from me without letting me down. He has always come through with good communication and has let me send back things I did not want or were incorrect. And for the guy who took 3 months to send back the throttle body, thats your own damn fault. I would have assumed you wanted it by then.

I met with Thay for a Jdm rear Type R strut bar. He was really cool and legit. The bar came brand new in a Honda Access Box. You might want to contact him via telephone.

He's reliable to me, I'm going to order some more from him.

He gave you money to send the T/B back to him, so I don't think he's trying to rip you off. And since you waited a few months because you were soooo busy, why don't you give Thay a few months to repsond

From the sound of it, had you sent the TB back in a timely manner it would have been resolved to your liking. As it is, with him offering to send you money I think that is a perfectly accesptable offer. If i were him I'd tell you to take my offer or get nothing. But that's me.

To all the people who flamed me, learn to read the above where I made clear I had faith in Mr. Thay.

To the people who made comments about taking a long time to ship out the t/b, try having to take your father to the doctor constantly and eventually finding out he has a terminal illness, along with going to work and school (both full-time). Don't open your mouth when you don't know the whole story.

I always had a feeling Mr. Thay would come through and he has not let me down yet. No one should have any reservations about buying anything from Chhunlay.

He gets a from me.

Also Larry (TakaIntegra), please don't try to test me. I understand you're trying to help your friend, but it's misguided and you're only wasting my time.

Thanks,
Reid

Reid you have time to post a thousand messages so you must have time to mail the T/B.

get off the internet and settle it then.
or at least provide some more info regarding the issue.
nobody can help you out more than you can help yourself out.

Well any h-ters that live in Long Beach care to help me get my money back?

The deal we "had agreed on" was that I'd keep the t/b and he'd send me $110.

Nothing ever came of that.

Yet, I REALLY don't want this to have to come to me posting personal info on the web. That's far too damaging if he is legit, as he seems to be.
