'95 EJ1 (EX)

The driver's side window keeps dragging the gasket/track up so it's bunching up at the top and throwing the seal off.

The gasket is seated fine, so I'm just guessing it's too dry so it's creating too much friction - sticking, and getting pulled up a little when you roll up the window.

So I'm gonna lube up the window gasket/track - what should I use to do so, silicone grease?? I tried white lithium awhile back and that didn't do ****.

Is it supposed to fasten at the bottom of the post (front)?

Doesn't look like it fastens at the bottom. So what should I use to grease up the track? - And the same for the actuator that lifts the moonroof?

 

silicone lube for greasing up the track. You just might need new regulators

 

try some silicon spray, it works better after it dries

Nah, regulators are fine, it just gets jammed up on sticky parts of the track .

So should I get it in spray or what? My experience with spray lubes is it usually drips off...?

 

i used electronics cleaner and cleaned out the tracks real good (slotted screwdriver w/ rag on it) and sprayed silicone spray in the tracks and let it dry...no problems since.

Yeah, I got **** to clean it, I just need to the grease - so I suppose silicone spray it is.

not spray, u gotta lube it up, i had same problem on my em1.

and also, u gotta replace the bolts on the tracks, but make sure u dont tighten them 2 much when u replace them.

ps, put some electrical tape or any black tape toward the top of the rubber liner to keep it straight

...bolts...on the window track? I didn't see any bolts on my window track.

I can tell u for sure it's getting jammed up because it's getting stuck to the gasket.

 

thers a metal track toward the front of ur door, if you take ur door panel off you can see it.

your going to see that the window is not inside that metal track, because the bolts ont he bottom and top of it are loose.
