Default Danville, VA autocross, few pics

Autocross in Danville, Virginia yesterday. tons of fun. Met Willard, saw Chad put some speed dents in his car, etc. Album link way below, here are a few pics

Chad, tearin it up:

Me, proving that even Type R's can be slow, given the right driver

Hunter (Hybrid Hatchback) getting jiggy

and finally, this DSM owner forgot there was an autocross, and spent the entire day in this position:

So what did I learn?
-Skipping turns and drag racing at an autocross is lots of fun
-never codrive with a better driver....its really embarassing
-getting rolled by a stockish saturn blows
-sunscreen rules
-A/C on full blast during runs is nicey nice
-for his first (i believe) auto-x, willard 0wnz!

oh yeah, and for chad: I got mad VTEC, y0!

more pictures will be added later today

That's not an autoX course! Looks like a good size track!

ya know why you drove slow? you don't have your wing on!

yeah it was a pretty fast course i guess. i'm not a big autocrosser, i was just messin around really. what was funny was that one turn was the source of some controversy, the rules weren't too clear. My friend was working that turn, got fussed at by the guys in the timing booth or whatever, and said (on the radio) something to the effect of "these rules are gay, until ya'll clarify them, we need some relief at station one" and walked off the course. pretty interesting.

haha i was slow cause i suck at autocross

it was held at the danville international airport. the track consisted of pretty much two runways w/ a strip connecting the two... very cool!!!

yeah will rolled, very quickly i might add. I, however, averaged a DNF. Evidently 'optional slalom' does not mean you can either slalom or go straight....

no the airport was in full use that day, you had to make your runs under 1:04 so the big jets didnt land on you. We lost 2 Bugs and a mini to 747's... very tragic
