Default new addition to my EF family.....

well everyone i just saved a crx from the scrap yard. a guy walked in to my job and saw my crx outside and asked me if i knew anyone interested in buyin a car (pointed to mine)

and i asked how much.
he told me $300 its not runnin, blah blah blah. so i got his info and told him i would come by and see it when i got off work. he then called me and told me to bring him a case of bud and i would get a discount off the car.
i brought him the case and towed it away for $175. givin its an A/T but i will be fixing it up and have the GF drive it. wat do u guys think? it has a clean title as well....

wat du u guys think. the guy said he had been tryin for 3 months to get it runnin and in just 2hrs me and my buddy got it to crank over.

For the price, good find. Easy fixer-uper.

What all did it take to get it to turn over? I picked up a ef sedan a few months back that was a "non-runner" as well. All it took was oem spark plug wires and a full charge on the battery and she fired right up haha.

How far does the damage go into the fender? Does it affect the door hinges at all?

no the fender damage doesnt affect the door at all. there isnt even a "poping" that we are all used to. we swapped in a new coil from another dizzy, some spark plug wires, and set the timing. hopefully i can get to finishing it up this weekend and see if the A/C still works in it. lol
oh yea i also have a spare fender that will be replacing the messed up one i just need to paint it. so it all worked out.

Man, i was going to say that car looks pretty clean other than the hood and the fender, but then i realised youre in california so im not as impressed now

Anyway, looks good man, i wish i could find a deal like that... On a hatch though, i already have a CRX .

But yeah, make sure you post updates. Maybe you should paint this one too! (I think youre the guy who painted his car, your girlfriend messed up the hood if i remember but then you got the carbon fiber one anyway haha).

You don't Bondo over paint chips, you sand them down untill you can run your hand over it and don't feel any waves. Bondo is for small dents.

Good find man. Save it!!!

Good score for the price

The body looks exceptionally clean apart from the clearcoat and the damage.
