Default Doors Unlock when car is shut off

For starters I have a 2007 Honda Civic Si coupe

So I was wondering if there is a way to make both doors unlock when I turn the car off because friends are too stupid to realize right away that it didn't unlock and I have to quickly unlock it before they break the ****** door handle. Can anybody help me out?

Yup. It's in there

I don't remember how off the top of my head. It's something like:

-start the car
-click your heels 3x
-snap your thumbs
-ok now turn the car to "on"
-snap 2x more times
-hit the unlock button
-start the car
-voila

Um, don't they lock automatically after like 9 mph?

its in the manual page 89 er something.... turn key to on position (ebrake on) hold lock button down, after 5 or 10 sec. you will hear them lock again... then about 5 or 10 sec. after that they will make the lock sound again... let go and then turn key to off.. i did it the other day.. (si sedan) i dont think its the same procedure.

My 06 doesn't unlock both doors when I turn it off. It only unlocks the driver side door while the passenger has to manually open them. Stupidest thing because I know some 06s unlock both doors and some don't. WTF Honda?

In the manual there are different settings for the doors to automatically unlock and lock. Read the manual.

trust me, there is some kind of problem with the 06s. If someone can come to my house and program both doors to unlock, I'd gladly buy you dinner. I hate that feature on the 06s. You have an 07 so I assume you don't know what I'm talking about

There are some on 8thcivic that claim that they have an 06 and can unlock both while others with 06 say it simply can't be done.

setting 1 : no auto unlock
setting 2: unlock drivers only when engines turns off
setting 3: unlock drivers only when shifting to park (when auto)
its in the manual....
i hate this stuff too.

07s are the same way. I have a sedan SI and only my door unlocks when the car is turned off. I went through the manual and tried all the different settings in there and none of them unlocked all doors. I called up honda and they said it was a safety feature. Worst safety feature.........ever

WTF. the process must be smarter than me. Did you set it up with your doors closed or open. i did it with them open, which may be the issue.?.
