How do I get my HATCH to stop leaking?
I have a 1990 CRX Si and the HATCH is always leaking water somehow. I check the weatherstripping all around and it's fine...no holes or cracks anywhere. This made me think that maybe water was going under the weatherstripping and through the hatch so I bought some good clear caulking and put some to seal the weatherstripping to the car and it still leaks. Does anyone have a solution for this? I know lots of CRX's Hatches leak. How do you stop it?
The rear window sprayer? Are you saying I should check the water lines for the rear window sprayer? Wouldn't that mean that if I was out of washer fluid that it wouldn't leak again? I don't use the rear window sprayer anyway. I could just empty it.
Tail light gaskets. They suck, they leak.
Seal them things up with silicone (that clear stuff works great)
Just make sure you don't seal them with anything permanent, or you'll never get the taillights off (no urethane etc.)
I'm 99.9% positive this is your leak, that was my major leak. That and the spoiler holes got some sealant as well.

he was meaning the gasket around the squirter. It seems any leak at the top of the car will run down and come out right where the struts mount up. My leak was caused from the seam filler cracking underneath the drip rails. It could be the rear squirter gasket or also the sunroof drails leaking or clogged if you have a Si. All these will drip and run through the body work and come out by the struts. It has nothing to do with the hatch or seal. I had to take the interior panels out and watch this to find it myself.

Check where your drip guards end on your roof. right at the hatch. If the Filler is cracked then that is normally where they leak from. Just use some clear silicone to fix it.
I had this problem on my crx and it was bad especially when i lived in Washington id get water everywhere in the rear it drove me nuts what i did to fix it was take some silicone and right underneath where the spare tires suposta be theres like a O thingy and it's about 1/2 an inch deep filled it in and havent had the leak since (keep in mind this is on my 90 crx si ) hope it helps GL
ps-not sure if youre leaks comming from up top i.e. u can see where water has leaked from the top down.
