And learn to type properly. I bet you failed english class because you type in caps.

94-95 Accord has diff lights than the 96-97. But i guess with a lot of mod, im sure you can make it fit.

ok, please only respond if you have advanced knowledge about honda part interchange. i have a 97 bumper, that goes on fine with the 96/97 mounting beam. there is a gap b/t the new bumper and my old trunk b/c the newer trunks jets down 3/4 inch more than the prior sector of the CD (5th gen accord). i have the opertunity to buy a 97 trunk for 20$ but its 2 hrs away(so i need to know if i can do this). i was told it wont work with the 94/95 hinges. i was also told that the 96/7 hinges dont match the bolt holes in the quarter panels. what i need to know is if anyone knows if the trunk will fit in if i fabricate the hinges. please help, thanks!!

this is an addon to my above post^^^^ what i mean by "fit in if i fabricate the hinges" is: will it physically fit in (like is the trunk the same width as the old one all around), are the rain drains the same design? (ill just bend them back if i need), will the latch line up?(im sure i can raise it if i need and fabricate the weather stripping... please give me details if you think it wont fit(explain why), and also will the inner tails be horizontal to the outer ones? i dont think the 97 outer tails will work but thats ok ill use the 95's... please give any info you KNOW, thanks

i think the difference is pretty clear.

96-97 has a longer overall height.

the angle at which the lines converge down the trunk are different. Hence why the outer tailight's and bumpers are not interchangeable on the accords. If you were to take a shot of both accords from above you would see more curve on the trunk lid on the 96-97. Enough of an explaination for you? Maybe the pictures will help.

but if you have a problem seeing the differences go ahead and buy the thing. Then come back to us with your results. I mean whats the waste in $20 and a couple gallons of gas?

locobanana, i defently see your point. but if i have 97 tails and 97 bumper and everything it might work? as long as the width of the trunk is the same from the back window all the way till the top of the tail lights. because the angle is determined by the tails. the curve is also determened by that. and the how the trunk goes down lower, that can be complimented because i have a 97 bumper? any ideas? what do you think if you consider changing the lights and the bumper too. the only thing i would be conserned about is the alignment of the gutters with the trunk and if the outside lights line up with the quarter panel(i know they arent going to line up with the older trunk)

What are you doing this for? Project car? Personally I love the 96-97 trunk. It just looks nicer. Locobanana gave you the facts (pictures) they are different. If you really want to make it fit, I'm sure you can wit some cutting and all those good things, but with all the money spent, I'm not sure that's a good idea.

And also you have to find a way to put extra lighting wires to the trunk due to the fact that the 94 doesn't have lights on the lid. (not too hard) The fitting of the lights might be hard.

If still not convinced, some people would gladly take measurements of their trunk. But hey, like lots of people said, it won't fit. But since you're so interested in it, I suggest do it.

hi, its me abc17abc with a new account because i have to wait 15 days to get out of my trial mode or i can only do 5 posts... well besides that, what im trying to say is, if the trunks is the same from the window to the top of the tail lights its should fit (as long as i have 97 tails all through, a 97 bumper and the bumper mounting bracket. and the wiring will literaly take me 18 secs.... i am now convince it will fit as long the with is the same as the top of the tails, the only thing that worrys me is the rain gutters on the side and bottom stopping it from closing, even then i could bend them out. what do u all think?

im going to try it. i came to the theory that with the 97 tails, the 97 bumper, the 97 bumper mounting beam (not the rebar) and the 97 trunk with modified 95 hinges (holes drilled 2 inched higher on the hinge) and posibly bending the weather stripping with pliers, it should work. i will post the results whether they are bad or good, and i do appretiate if someone can give me those measurements and post them on this thread or email them to me at abc17abc@yahoo.com thanks :-)

I banned your other account (abc17abc1) because it's against the rules to have more than one user account. If you do this again I will ban both/all your screen names.
