Accidents happen.....Right?
Soo, yesterday was pretty messed up. Hanging out at my buddys house in his garage and we hear his brother-in-law pull in with his 02 ish dodge ram pick up. When I see him back up I think nothing of it because he had to have seen my car when he pulled in....right?
WRONG! The next thing I hear is what sounds like someone just rolled up a bag of chips and threw it away. My friend comes inside the garage and goes Dan come outside Joe just backed into your R. So I still think it's a joke I pass another friend as I walk out of the garage and he wouldn't even look at me that's when I knew it was for real.....
Moral of the story.....don't park where a Dodge pick up thinks he can turn around.

WOW.
That REALLY sucks. Sorry to hear that!
On the bright side, at least the skirt wasn't damaged .... that'd be a bitch to find again.
Insurance or no? At the least that dude should pay for EVERYTHING.

He was pissed. He knows my cars are always VERY well taken care of. So I think he more felt bad for me because he knows how much time and effort goes into my cars.
As far as getting it fixed, he told me to get the estimates and call him tomorrow. I've known him for a few years now so he told me if he could pay out of pocket he would. I doubt he will though since it will need a new 1/4 panel.
He said he will do insurance if it is to high. So I guess we will see tomorrow. He's a state trooper so I think he would rather try and pay out of pocket than put it on his insurance

Wow, and I thought my dent sucked. If you get the quarter panel replaced entirely, I wanna know how much it ends up costing. I'm looking to do that to fix my dent rather than just "fix" it.

haha nah my family and his family are close friends. it's just the driveway is on an angle and i know from experience that when you back up you really can't see much. so i can imagine how hard it is to back up in a truck like that.

Could be worse.

Identical damage to what happened whem mine was hit by a deer. New quarter for sure Your friend got lucky, door skin / bumper / skirt appear to be fine. The cost of that could have easily doubled.
No matter how much you take good care of your car/other things, if its gonna happened, it happen. The only thing we can do is doing what we can to prevent it from happening again.I learn my lesson.GL with the repair and more pics when its done
