17's how bad
how bad will 17's hurt my times. I bought 17 tenzo poke 10 with falken azenis. will this hurt my times that bad. they are on back order, so if I want to I can change my order. thanks
17's is where it'll start to hurt your performance. go with 16's
with good rims you can have the best of both worlds. performance and looks

well I mean, I can just race around on the high way and stuff, like it wont hurt me barely at like higher speeds will it. plus I will just either race on stock wheels when it is important or I am going to the track, buy those new rota attacks and have light tires for always, or suffer the consequences of 17's. P.S. I dont think they make poke-10's n e thing smaller than 17's. also, is there n e tenzo wheels n e one would recomend swapping that are good light wheels???

That's wrong, 17's will hurt your times no matter how light, because of the extra rotating mass.
I have lightweight 17's on my car also, and there is a difference, it's noticeable, but you can always run smaller wheels at the track.
I wouldn't say the difference is a second in the 1/4, but maybe 2 or 3 tenths.

Usually about half a second for 17's.It also isn't just the rotational mass.It makes your gearing quite a bit longer, which is not good in your case, aswell.
what is the usual weight of a 17" rim including the tire????
When I weighed mine, it was close to 45lbs (one rim n tire combination).
I think mine is really heavy, but i guess the car got use to it.
I chirp 2nd gear all the time, and 3rd more than often in my 17's.
Although it takes a little longer to get to higher speeds compare to my stock 14's.

I personally think 17"s are too big for Integras. IMO some lightweight 16"s are best which wont hurt your acceration too much but still give you better handling.

IMHO, get the 17's if you are willing to sacrifice some performance for looks. If you are a hardcore racer, then lightweight 15's are the only way to go. You can't beat 7-10 pounds per rim that you can get in the 15 inch size(depending on your wallet size).
One day I will have FI, to compensate for the performance loss from my 17's

It won't hurt it very much. I ran my car 3 times totally stock with some crappy Progressive 14 in. rims. All 3 times I ran a 16.3. Later that year I ran totally stock with my 17 in. TenzoR RS5's. My times were 16.5, 16.5, & 16.6. When I ran the 14's it was also 30 degrees cooler, but my tires are alot better on the 17's.
So I say get the 17's. I wish I had actually got 18's but to each his own.
