Default eg amber cluster lighting

Has anyone replaced their eg usdm cluster 92-95 with the 00 civic si bulb covers to make them amber? If so... how many bulb covers did it take to perform the operation? I took my cluster out last night and it looks as if I have to replace 6 bulbs, does anyone know if this correct? Thanks for help.

but what if u dont care about a few symbols..

for the eg si/ex cluster...the two bulbs u can buy at the store in amber...r 24(bigger)..and 74(smaller ones)..these r what works.if u want u can paint these.

another option..remove the faceplates off the gauges...get a cotton swab with nail polish remover..remove all that blue **** on back..replace with some sort of clear amber/orange paint, like stain glass paint or tamiya model paint. u can do this on the climate too.. u can do this with defroster too. for the clock..take the oem one apart..go to a plastic works shop..get em yo cut u a piece of dark amber in the same shape..replace..the jdm cluster is cool i guess cuz the diff gauge(white), but i dont care about km/h.

i think the climate control is dumb buy..if u dont replace the whole unit..and u bought that whole thing, just to put the jdm icon faceplate..on the usdm unit. what the hells the point of that?

there is a right way of doing things ..then theres half *** way of doing..whatever floats your boat though right? I like doing things the right way...so that I dont have to go back and fix it.
Not exactly half-assed, but maybe a less-expensive alternative. I see the climate controls go for $100 bucks easy...I spent maybe $5 bucks, and I know Jae did too...

I thought you could buy the 00 si cluster bulbs and take the orange/amber covers off and use those to replace/cover the eg bulbs in the cluster? Won't this work?

I have seen some nice cars that were painted on the interior, you just have to use the correct paint. Now I have a different question... when swapping out the climate controls, how the hell do you get the old one out????

well i think the cheapest way to do it is to use krylon stained glass paint on the bulbs. it works and looks really good. a friend of mine did it to his and it looked pretty good. i want to do it to mine too, but just haven't had the time.
