Might sound like a not so hot idea , but putting mud flaps or something to cover the opening where you cut the side skirts will make it look alittle cleaner . Just an idea
looks pretty good. get some plastic sheet at a hobby store, some JB weld, and cover up that end piece..then some black paint
BTW, how much had to get cut off, and other than that, does it fit just like the stock EG piece?

really doesn't make much of a difference.
Most people don't pay attention to side skirts

it's subtle, i know. i like it, that's all i care. i posted the pix cuz i wanted to see this swap myself and nobody had pix 4 me to see before hand. so this is for your reference.
i have the piece i cut off and il'll make that fit for end caps(about 2"each). the most time/effort was in figuring out where to put new holes. basically i made a template and drilled from there. they fit perfect along the indentations in the body, they just look alittle more agressive. you need patience and some experience in fabrication to pull it off though.

how flexible is teh plastic? maybe u could have marked off the length u needed, and then just cut out the extra length on the bottom part, leaving and extra length of plast on the side facing the outside, and then fold it over? looks good tho
