Default Really specific h23a1/h22a tranny swap questions

Car: 94 accord coupe. f22b2 manual.

What exactly is needed to change this bitch over to an h22a/h23a1 tranny? I have heard different things such as:

a.) nothing extra, the accord linkages work fine

b.) all prelude linkages

c.) hybrid. Some accord parts, some prelude parts.

help me out fellas, my ***** are in the nutcracka over this. I do apologize for my absence, work owns me and it wont let me sign on to AIM.

You need the linkage from a 72 Pinto Limited Edition. That will allow you to achieve superduper speed.

So do you mean everything prelude? Intermediate shaft, linkages, lines, etc?

not getting a motor no more huh? the trannies should be direct replacements. I think all you'll need is the Prelude tranny. Everything else you can use off your Accord. Hmm, actually you might need a prelude shift linkage.

what are the pros and cons to switching to a h22/h23 tranny over a f22?

Shorter gear ratios better for all-motor I think. F series tranny used for turbo apps if I remember correctly.

YOU DONT NEED ANYTHING BESIDES THE H23 tranny

there...thats more clear...

all the accord stuff will bolt on to the Prelude tranny...all of it...

the H and F series trannies are IDENTICAL from the outside...meaning everything outside of the tranny is interchangable...meaning you need nothing...

even the clutch is the same for H n F series

the H23 gear ratios are good for turbo...

the F22 ratios just suck...period...

also, I would NOT put a 4th gen H22 tranny onto a H23...

the h22 and h23 trannys are identicle except for 2nd and 5th, the other gears are SLIGHTLY different but not enough to really matter.
then im guessin this guy doesnt know his ****...

the difference is the gear ratios...the H23 being non vtec would most likely not benefit from the H22 ratios...also, your top speed would be something around 110-115...redline limited

the H23 ratios are close to 5th gen prelude ratios...but not 4th gen H22 ratios...look: here

.05 is actually a pretty significant difference in gear ratios

F22 and H22 gears will not physically interchange. I know, I just tried it. Wanted to put the F22 5th into my H22 trans for nice low RPM cruising. Won't work. Also. the gear ratio on some H22 tranny's (93-00) are the same but the angle of the gear is different so they won't interchange either.

wtf is your deal?

my point i'm trying to make is that he doesn't need anything besides the tranny to swap...alright? simple enough?

it was you who said the gears aren't interchangable...thats what I meant by internals...
