weight reduction
Go on a diet.
They might weigh 20lbs.
You picked a tough chassis to lighten. If you're wanting to have a light ej8 you'd have a much easier time with a dx coupe.
Or better yet a hatch.

x2, you could spent 40+ hours and hundreds of dollars to remove about 150 lbs.
Not time well spent IMO.

if its your daily just do a miror weight reduction, for instance minor trim panels you dont need, spare tires, sound deadning material, a pound here and a pound there add up, building cars is not for the lazy, if you want an easy way to do it, finds a new hobby
go into the drag racer forumn they are removing sway bars, and swapping to rear drums to save the extra 50 pounds (sway bars are 20lbs and 10 on ecah side for each trailing arm then theyre are msic bolts with the sway bar and brackets
but for you just remove the covers where the bolts for the seats are, remove the little trimming behind the seat, remove sound deadning, remove spare tires and jacks, remove fire wall mating, remove varuoius under hood brackets/bolts (bolts are heavy ) remove tape (factory tape or stuff you put there, i removed the truck wiring harness cover, the covers that cover up the tailights, i had the dash board out and removed alot of misc brackets, and the heater core/blower motor, shift boot can go, if you get really serious like 10 seconds fast, i suggest you look into acid dipping
carbon hood saves alot of weight, carbon trunk is cool, door panels weigh like 13 lbs each
all of that adds up, ps you make money on weight reduction if you're smart, who spends money on it? dont do that dry ice thing thats wayy expesive do it with a hammer and chisel on a cold day imo works better than dry ice i kept burning my self etc and it was unconotable, also reove seats (no friends bum rides
) dimmer switch is also a good one,
yea all that shif i listed is actually alot to remove and actually pulls some cash in, people want em1 stuff, part that interior out , make some cash and make the car quicker whikle you're at it
also the seatbelt covers are a good one, fill that tank 1/4 on race days and start jogging tubby
anything you dont ABSOULTEY need sell it
