DC5 Rear Seats in a 01-05 Coupe
I was offered the whole interior from a DC5 but not certain about the rear seats fitting anyone here know for sure? My ride is an 01 em2 coupster please help I've seen someone here on this thread do it but since I'm a freakin NOOB here I'm not allowed to instant message people sucks. If it does fit does the year of the DC5 matter? So if anyone knows please lemme know thanks in advance.
i did it, couple others too, just gotta cut some material off the sides, but they do fit.

Both sides were cut the exact same. I am sorry I do not have a pic from before I started cutting. but if you have the seats and look at my pics it wouldnt be hard to figure out.
I used a large cutting wheel to cut it. A dremmel tool will work it will just take longer and you will go through several cutting discs. All you are cutting off is the latch that would lock the seat into place( if it were in an rsx). Oh yeah, do not cut the seats with the leather still attached. I think it is self explanitory but I figured I would include that. If you have any questions let me know.

^the right side of each seat is where they were cut
After I get off work I will take some pics of how I put the leather back on and how it is kept tight on the seats.</TD></TR></TABLE>

just remember that even with customization the rear seats WILL fit, but it will not be 100% perfect. notice how the rsx seats are not flush with our upper deck (where the rear speakers are located). plus, i'm not sure if you can still use that folding seat functionality.
Damn fventura lol you were the one I was actually referring to earlier bro. Anyways as far as the leather how are you holding it in place? I gotta say pretty damn clean job!

mine are just placed in there, i'm sure you can use velcro or something to keep them in place, one time i did a hard stop from 60-0 because of some idiot and my seats flew out, but that was the only time. velcro or whatever will keep them in place.

Does the RSX have 2 or 3 seat positions in the back?</TD></TR></TABLE>
it's two, there's a plastic piece in the middle for your cell phone or whatever.

I gotta ask...
What's the point in the conversion if you can't really sit in them and they aren't in the car very good (fly off when stopping hard)?
Not sure I like the mis-alignment of the rear shelf, also.

loffles, who said you can't sit in them? you can sit in them as much as you can in an rsx. civic rear seats are made for 3 people whereas rsx are made for 2 people.
i'm lazy, i dont have anything holding them back, so they will fly out if i stop hard again, if i had moneys, i'd buy some velcro to hold them in place.
