Stupid question help! (maintenance required light)

Default Stupid question help! (maintenance required light)

Had the R for about 10 months now, NO problems. Today the Maint. Req'd light starts blinking. i know its diff. than the CEL, how do i reset it, and why is it coming on? i get regular oil changes at Acura, did they forget to do it. Guess im just over reacting

under driver side dash box w/ i think blue button press it and hold it in the ON position it will turn off then your in the clear

its just a dummy light. I believe it comes on every 7500 miles from the last time it was reset. you can find lots of info about it in the archives.

haha yeah, the first time I saw it I friggen flipped the hell out. but yeah if you're facing the pedals it's on the right hand side underneath the dash with the face of the button pointing away from you and towards the gas pedal.

i think you have to hold the button, and start your car, or turn it to acc, for it to work.

1. Locate button under the dash (not a switch, but a button)
2. With car off and key in the ignition, press and hold the button under the dash
3. Turn the key to the "on" position (it's the one where you can put the windows up and down, radio on) while button is held down and wait for the flashing to go away.
4. Turn key back off, and repeat without button pressed to verify light is now gone.
