The reason why we're using a Neo is that it only allows us to run up to 9 PSI which is safe enough for us to use on a daily driven car...

Also, I didn't think the Apexi Neo could be ran on our cars.

yeah, because dumb hyogen tried this ish...and people backed up with facts that it couldnt work? and apexi neo doesnt allow you to past 9psi..i think that is great.

stupid remark ...
but u can go try it ... good luck
beloved AJP my *** ... go read some more and think before u post and misinform people.

anyway ... for those that care
the apexi neo won't work for a number of reasons ... and it has nothing to do with not being able to go past 9psi ....

as u can tell in the afr of that car ... the afr is over 12 ... basically 13 = lean for a boosted car ... that's so because the stock ecu is taking control of the air fuel requirements and is treating it like it's NA but with added air flow

the stock ecm will keep fighting it no matter what ...

i had that **** on my car for testing for about 2-3 months ... i had a chance to play with it, see what it does, etc etc ... as it spent more time on the car, the more the stock ecm kicked it off, the more it was unable to do what u wanted it to do...

Idle became more crappy as time went on, AFR under boost would fluctuate day in day out ... to make a long story short, the car would just not run right ... period ...

it seems like it will work ... but it will not ...

the one way to go is to reflash the ecm or wait of a true standalone/piggy pack unit that can actually work ...

on another issue ...

the Stock fuel system cannot support over 300 whp without dropping fuel pressure ... that is a fact ... this is the reason why AJP, Redshift + comptech has made adjustments to the fuel system ... the stock FPR will drop fuel pressure after soo many psi and the car will run lean ...

comptech makes u make adjustments to it to get more fuel pressure at only 5psi of boost.

AJP + Redshift got rid of it on the higher horsepower kits because obviously the stock FPR will not cut it and a Fuel Return system + external FPR is needed to cope with the fuel requirements of making that much power ...

so it's not a matter of the apexi neo not going past 9psi ... it's a matter of the restrictiongs of the stock fuel system and not being able to use the apex unit to control it as well ...

there are other issues as well ... but since some people already want to accuse me of favoring AJP and trying to shoot these guys down ... i'll stop here ...

my advice to the owner of this car, if he's not affiliated with the shop ... is to take that crap of his car before some type of failure occurs cuz it's not worth it ... and do the proper research ...

PS: to a do a fuel return u need to bypass the stock FPR ... in doing so u also bypass the stock fuel filter and u'll need to adress that also !!

Stupid remark? It's clearly obvious that you promote the people that gave you a free kit and knock the rest of them. All over 8th civic you can be seen putting down other people's F/I if it isn't AJP. And THEN you will say something like "You should see what 8 psi on the AJP kit will do" etc etc.

They didn't do their homework? You could say the same thing about AJP when their turbos were having all sorts of problems and there was no follow-up from the makers of the kit.

go read some more ...
all the problems have been adressed by either hondata / ajp ...
the one guy who made that one thread with a number of problems has admitted fault with his install as well and apologized ...
please point me to threads where i have not given a fair review of all kits or where i have openly shot down other kits for no reason other than to promote ajp ... please show me those threads and back up ur claims ...

if i love them soo much and i'm affiliated with them...
1. why don't i have the kit no more?
2. why have i openly critsized them?
3. why is it that i never turned by back on buyers of the kit and helped them get answers and put ajp in a bind?

anyway i'm not here to argue ... but if u want to go ahead and run ur car of an apexi neo ... go right ahead ... good luck

didn't i promote full race too? if i'm not mistaken i was the one who tried to push for atleast 10 members for 8th civic to jump onto full race all while i had the ajp kit ... u might want to find that thread too ...

go on attacking me ... it doesn't change the facts.

FOR A BOLT ON KIT WE MADE GOOD POWER. ALL THE CAR HAS IS A FUEL PUMP, AND INJECTORS. WE WILL BE TURNING UP THE BOOST TO 9 PSI, AS SOON AS WE FINISH DO SOME QUATER MILE TESTING WITH THE CAR. AS IT IS 7PSI IS GOOD FOR A FUN DAILY DRIVEN CAR. WERE NOT OUT TO MAKE BIG DYNO NUMBERS. WE'RE MAKIN AN AFFORDABLE RELIABLE KIT. WITH THE HIGH COMPRESSION ENGINE 9 PSI IS THE MOST I WOULD PUT ON A STOCK K20.
