Headlight wiring diagram... gauge related
Does anyone know what wire under the dash is for the headlights? I'm referring specifically to when you switch on your headlights from your turn signal indicator. What wire is it? Don't want my gauge always having it's light on like it's currently hooked up.

When I wired in my radar detector and another gizmo, I used some spare lugs on the fuse panel. One switches on when the key is in the "accessories" position, another when it is in the "on" position, and a third I forget. I can't remember if there's one that switches with the headlights or not. Just get a multimeter and try them with the lights on and off.
If there isn't one, you could tap some wire that lights up the dash (gauges or hvac controls or radio) -- you don't have to find the one that controls the headlights.
[Note -- I haven't tapped any wires in my Integra (just used the fuse panel connections), so if someone knows why it's a bad idea, say so. It worked in my old Mazda...]
