is it just me, or does the rota TE37s knockoff look way off???i seen them do replicas to othe wheels and they did look like them, but the GRIDS are just ...the spokes look thinner for some reason..

 

they are SDX's durrrrr

 

I think they were painted by the owner that way, I dont think they come from Rota like that.

you're right they do, they dont have them advertised on their website, but I was able to find some online. I have however seen a lot of rims painted that way, I figured this was one of them.

 

the blues are gonna be coming out soon too.

not bad better then 2/3s the wheels they make, and honestly i dont see the point in spending 1000 more dollar on wheels that look and perform the same as the original? I mean some of us arent balln, i just got work equip 01 knocks and i love them

 

I like the idea of Rota, creating a wheel thats nice and affordable....

But the fact that they can't design their own pisses me off just a bit

Here is a simple concept for you.

Some people like the look of a certain rim but they dont want to pay that much money for the "real deal". So they buy rota.

Get it?

 

i like the fact rota and others make these knock offs cause i can have decent rims not brake the bank and if it gets stolen i wont be like oh **** i just lost 2 grand on some rims

 

they suck at cloning rims, I'm guessing due to different engineering methods are a bit more expensive such as forging etc. blah.

spend $1500 on some real JDM wheels, or spend $500 on wheels, and $1000 on parts that ACTUALLY make a difference.

i roll on rota's because i've found good prices on the wheels, not because i can't afford the real thing. i'm getting what you guys call "real jdm" wheels soon, simply because the wheels i want are way better then the copies.

or that - some people don't have that much money though and can't both. i won't hate on them because of that.

i have circuit 10's on my car, i bought them for $300 with 90% thread left on the tires, i was looking for oem rsx wheels in the $300 range with decent thread for weeks, i didn't find them, and thats the next best thing, rather then rolling on some 5lug steelies.

i bought them not because i can't afford the real thing but because it's what was available at the time.

 

btw, rota makes some decent copies, the ones pictured above, look like crap.
