ITR EXPO..... will it be a theft fest?
guys, just wondering...
with all these R thieves out there, and knowing that there will be 30 type R's in Gingerman Area.. every one of them is staying overnight... won't that be a showroom for these lil' bastards?
I mean, they can pick either white/yellow/black, or what kinds of tires to come with tthe car.....
hmmm.. just trying to be paranoid....

I had not thought of that. Thanks for bringing that up. Bring a gun, a watchdog, and be on highest alert. If the thieves are real slick they have probably been on HT scoping for meets.
They might try....but of all the dumbazz places. Would you really want the other 29 pissed off R owners chasing you with torque wrenches and tire irons in hand?
Ok this is what we did at the first ITR EXPO, because it being in socal the hot bed of itr theft we where rightfully scared. when we parked the cars for night we did in such a way that no one could get anyone car out of the lot w/o moving 1 or 2 more. and since we where all staying at the same motel it was easy to keep an eye out...i wouldnt worry about theives just worry about throttle lift oversteer!
Expo 1 = 0 ITR causulties
lets hope for the same this year
fais- who hopes no one minds his spelling cause he's drunk

I would keep an eye on your Rs. Like mentioned, if thieves/****** fockers are stupid enough to attempt stealing EXPO Rs, they must really wanna DIE. Good idea, park in a certain pattern, and each R owner take a turn during the night patroling the parking area with a tire iron

yeah i was going to say, have maybe 1 or 2 people at a time keeping watch on the cars, rotating shifts every 30 min. to 1 hour during the night. That would probably be best.
Like I said in another post, ITR's arent cool over here. No one will attempt anything. you wont have to worry about it.
I mentioned the security problem we may have to Wai at the April 20th CGI event.
Maybe we should send some donuts to the local law enforcement folks, compliments of the ITR expo.
1. It would be nice to have some slow drive bys casing our Rs while we were asleep (and not thieves!)
2. Hey, I was not driving that fast, or maybe I was...
See you all there, Oh, boy is this going to be great!!!!

You guys really worry too much. Taking shifts with a tire iron in the parking lot??!!!
Do this:
-When checking into the Guesthouse Inn, ask for a room that faces the back of the building (towards the Walmart). Park all the R's in the back section of the parking lot. This way you can see your car from your room at all times.
South Haven is a resort town for 70 year old Grannies, not 18 year honda punks!
Everything will be fine and you will all have a great time, no doubt.

This is what I wrote:
"BTW I did call Guesthouse Inn regarding the security issue. They don't have any in-house security but they do have cops checking the parking lots few times a night. I asked them if we could make any special requests for the cops to check more often, the lady said no..... well, just a pre-caution. I do hope that nothing would happen to any of our cars."

You're from AUSTRALIA?
This is the first incident that i've heard of where an ITR has been through this..
Are you in a populated area of oz or a rural? How did they break in? What did you have? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?
Answer me in prv msg if you have to.
