They don't mount to the LCA's. They mount to the shocks. Check my sig.

You are wrong my friend, they should mount to the LCA and not the shocks like you have them

I'm wrong?

Yeah, I guess I am. I didn't purchase a brand new ST rear swaybar. I didn't just install an ST rear swaybar. I didn't just do a writeup on how to install an ST swaybar. I don't have the instructions in front of me. I didn't get those L-brackets with the kit.

You're a retard. Shut the fvck up if you don't know what you're talking about.

idiot, how can you say he is wrong, did you not see the pic? st makes more than one type of rear sway bar, your friend must have a different one, probably the st speedtech setup.

there shouldent be a difference, i guess there is more force on the sway bar the further its mounted out, not sure what that would do for handling though.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong I am just gonna put in a note Most sway bars bolt to the LCA but they do make sway bars that mount to the shock point when the car doesn't come with a stock sway bar. Cars that don't come with sway bars normally don't have the spot to mount the sway bar. Thats all I have to say about that.

Another note I've had sway bars that mount both ways and I never noticed the difference between the 2

The pic is for stock LCA's with no sway bar mount. If you have an endlink mount on your LCA you should use it. There is a great deal of flex like you have it in the pic, which is nothing on a street car, but definatley not something you want to do on track. I myself have an ST sway on one of my EF's and it came with those brackets. Just depends on your setup.

That bar can't be used with a traditional style endlink. There is no endlink I could use on my LCA that would work with that bar, it just mounts too far out. The only ST bars that don't mount like this for Civics is the Speedtech one with the subframe brace. I can't see how there'd be any more flex with a vertical stacked endlink than with a dual-pivot endlink, such as the ones that come stock with the CTR. Hell, even the Function7/Aurora/BLOX endlinks have the ability to flex more than these, you a bolt through an eyelet.

As to that bracket moving, it'd have to be enough lateral force to move BOTH of the brackets.

Duh

That's before it was torqued to 40 lb/ft ... the same torque specs as your LCA bolts.
