its not a night and day difference with just dropping itr/ctr cams into a gsr. The only thing I noticed was that my motor was slightly louder and it pulled a little harder in the high end. No crazy vtec popping 3rd gear jdm all motor turbo here....with that modification.

You're going to need the ITR head, intake mani, and possibly block, to take full advantage of the ITR cams.. IMHO
I would not excpect much or any power gains just from the cam.

It's been said and is a known fact that ITR cams will net you several HP over stock GSR cams and you gain power all over the powerband.

You need an IM/I/H/E and most importantly tuning, to feel the difference.

I'm doing this myself in another month or so...I'll be dynoed' and tuned. I'll letcha know

Dyno plots prove that just adding the ITR (p/n 14111-P73-J00, USDM 97-98 ITR) intake cam to a GSR will provide about 11 WHP untuned. (You can ask for the plots, but dynocenter.com has been defunct for years). This particular setup also led to a torque hole from 4400 to about 4800 RPM because the VTEC engaged too early. My personal experience confirms this.

BTW: the ITR and GSR share the same block.

Good info, so with the correct VTEC engagement point and a quick tune for the added flow, you may see some decent gains.
I always thought the TypeR block had different pistons, but maybe its in the head design.

A block is different from a short block. The GSR and ITR have the same block. The pistons and crankshaft, which are included in the short block, are different. The 00-01 ITR and the CTR cams are a little more aggressive than the 97-98 ITR cams.
