I've had experience with the spt's. Excellent tire for the price. Great dry grip as well as grip in wet weather. As a matter of fact, I just bought another set for my new wheels a few months ago.

Get the SPT. It's a better tire for roughly the same price.

The SPT is a much better tire, I tried out the General Exclaim UHP because I got them for stupid cheap but got rid of them b/c I wasn't happy with their performance. I replaced them with the SPT and couldn't be happier (although I only have about 4,000 miles on the SPT).

BUMP...I'm considering both of these tires right now as well. The Tirerack ratings are higher than the SPTs and the price is similar. They're about the same price with the Kumho rebate.

Has anything changed in 3 months since this thread had been replied to? Any thoughts to the weight or sidewall strength of each tire?

Looks like the SPTs are the way to go. A local dealer was trying to talk me into a set of Fuzion ZRi's. I had never even heard of those before.

The Fuzions aren't too bad... they're made by Bridgestone. I have one friend who swears by them and a few others with no complaints.

I ordered a set of Kumho SPTs today. Tomorrow is the last day for the $40 mail in rebate for Kumho tires so I wanted to hop on that. Discount Tire was a little cheaper than Tirerack this time. I'll give an update once I get them mounted and balanced.
