broken clutch pedal bracket
So as the title states, I broke my clutch pedal bracket...
I know this is a common EF problem when using a stronger clutch/ high HP set up, but what are people doing to fix it? This is on my EE (wagon) but im sure it is pretty much the same as all other EF's.
I know the DA integra pedal set/ brackets DO NOT fit. What else can we do?
I looked on
http://www.hondaautomotivepart...PEDAL
for the part, but it only shows the pedal its self, not the bracket. Does anyone know the part # or where to get the part I need?
I am 6'4" and hate being under my dash, so I would love to fix this problem only ONCE!
LOL
Please post any info /picks/ advice on this topic
Thanks!
Hank
p.s. I found this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1806627 and he has offered to make me one, but I think mine is broken in a different spot. Mine is cracked at the weld on the support bar between the clutch pedal bracket and the break bracket... (does that make any sense? LOL) so the whole clutch pedal is flopping over to the left and not pulling the cable to dis ingague like it should.

I also broke my clutch pedal bracket, last year:

And this is an old pedal assembly that had sat under my shed for a few years (about 4, lol). I just had a friend weld in a piece of bar stock to reinforce that weak spot:

I use a 6 puck clutch and frequently drag race in the summer, and I haven't had any problems since.
Another friend of mine took it even further and had all the welds on his pedal assembly done, and reinforced it in other places.

if you have a 88-89 car, try a 90-91 pedal. Hasport says they are better.
I bent the pedal on teh 88, and the 90 is holding up fine

Some guy on here actually reinforced his clutch pedal bracket. He welded some bar on it if I remember correctly. Your going to have to search for it though.....

That's basically what I did, just welded in a 10 cent piece of metal right between the thin part of the clutch bracket, works like a charm.
