So since this is general discussion and debate i'll write a nice little story of what happened.

Well if you've seen my for sale ad on honda-tech or craigslist you would know that i'm selling my hatchback so that I could purchase my brothers integra. It's been on the market for about 2 weeks now.

I had an anthropology class tonight at OHLONE college in FREMONT CALIFORNIA at 6:30-9:20 pm. I wanted to get some extra studying done so I decided to leave my house at about 3:50pm so I could go to the library.

It was good traffic coming from Hayward, normally a 30 minute drive but today I hit all the green lights and got on campus around 4:15pm. I turned into the parking lot and found the most BALLINEST parking spot ever. First spot right next to the stairs. I was like oh **** son I love having good parking.

I sat in my car for a few minutes waiting for a song to finish then i packed up my books into my backpack and removed my headunit and put it in the glove compartment. I exited the car and locked my beezy with my clifford alarm with keyless entry. As i walked up the stairs i turned back to look at the beautiful thing. I didn't know that, that would be the last time i would see her.

I went to the library and studied for awhile until around 5:45pm and that's when I walked over to my anthro class.

I was watching some silly video about sickle cell disease and was nodding off and then my phone rang. I was in lecture so I didn't pick it up.

During break I went and checked the voicemail and it was some guy from craigslist or ht that had called in asking about buying the car. He said he was very serious and we were planning to meet up asap. I was giddy like a school girl and I called my brother to let him know that i'm about to find a buyer.

Then I went back to class where I had a lab. We had a test and I did good which made me leave feeling really satisfied I also got out early. I was walking down and I called the potential buyer and left him a voicemail.

That's when I walked down the stairs to the parking lot at about 7:20pm and noticed my car wasn't there and it was replaced with some white something. I was like oh **** son wtf. I pressed on my clifford alarm button a few times and walked up and down the aisle, but it was worthless.

I called my brother and I was like "hey guess what... my car got jacked."
he made fun of me and then i called campus police.

The patroling officer picked me up and we went through the lots in case i got "confused" and parked somewhere else. I knew in my mind 100% without a doubt that I parked where I did. Needless to say we gave up and went to the station.

Everyone helping me was very pleasant. We contacted the city police department and they came over. They got my info and we reviewed surveillance tapes for about an hour but couldn't find anything.

I called my mom, and also my friend who also has night class and he told me that he saw my car parked there at around 6:20pm and told a few of his friends about how nice it looked.

Anyways we continued looking at footage until my friend got out of his class at 9:20pm and he took me home.

sucks yo. but i took it surprisingly well. I know that i don't ever trip over things but this is something new.

sorry to hear that bro. clean car too...i got my 00 si broken into not long ago.. lucky i had my club on and they left when i came out with my pistol..******* thieves

 

damn, i saw your forsale post in the classifieds, thought it was a clean *** car

my car almost got jacked at the union city century theatres. they ripped off my underdash panel and popped off my ignition cylinder, and even tried to jump my starter directly. killswitch is all that saved my poor baby

how about insurance? i would assume full coverage?

 

sorry to hear about your loss G,I saw the car on CL and HT and thought it was a real nice and clean,now this.If you had full coverage, then maybe the money you get will be able to buy the integ you wanted,I guess thats one positive way to look at it, but its never a good feeling im sure.Good luck with everything.

yea i got full coverage. i was about to sell for 6200 i think insurance is gonna cut me a check for like 4000ish

UPDATE i just got called and they recovered it. Everything is pretty much stripped. my mom is gonna go with me so i can see her one last time haha expletive. the lady was telling me all the stuff they took and i was getting sad and she could tell by my voice.

well ill update with pictures in a little bit.

 

that was qucik to strip! sorry for your loss man...makes me afraid to park my car ANYWHERE....I had a dream a few weeks ago and I thought my car was stollen, I couldn't immagine if it was real

 

I know wisconsin isn't know for theft, but this scares me anyways. I can't wait to quit my job in the ghetto (which covers basicly any of the north side in milwaukee), as I certainly wouldn't want to finish an engine build and have it get ganked.

 

alrite no pics yet. i got to the tow yard at 6:03 and they closed at 6. the lady tried to charge me 60 dollars to open up the gate so i could look at her but expletive that im going tomorrow. it finally hit me after she read off all the things that was stripped.

 

I'm curious, did your alarm have a tilt sensor?

Well one of my friends saw the car take off. After reviewing footage we found out there was 2 guys. Point of entrance was passenger side. No broken windows. There was one person by the front end who somehow got to the battery without having my alarm go off and disarmed it. One of them got into a red or black toyota tacoma extended cab and they took off.
