Default My AIR-Endyne Intake Manifold Review

Well my buddy Jason Koehler talked me into buying this new intake manifold(just kidding, i wanted one for years )

and he made a trip down this weekend for a few days and brought me this great new piece to add to my car: the AIR C/F intake manifold

at first glance you will notice the quality that was put into this product, almost instantly you will notice the HUGE weight differences between that and ANY other cast intake manifold, day and night.

This manifold belonged to Andrea from Evans tuning, big thanks to them not selling it before i got a chance to get it, and for taking good care of thier car parts.

installation was a breeze, even with not having an IACV actually plumbed into the manifold, the car idles killer even with 1600cc injectors!

well onto some pics

BEFORE:

My big racing secret....Shhhhhh

Some shots of the manifold

and an after shot: yes my engine bay is dirty!

We dyno'd it a day later not at my MD dyno but at a dynojet and she laid down about 60 MORE HP than with my JG at the same boost level, just a slight nit of AF changes. Also my IAT temps from before were in the 110-115 range after a WOT pull and now they were about 82-86 degrees~!

also power is at the 600hp mark at right about 26psi, jason felt it was a tad bit lower than we expected so i am going to overlook the setup to make sure i dont have any goof ups

thanks once again to Jason Koehler(www.jkobd.com AKA: blown90hatch) and Jeff and Andrea from Evans Tuning

I asked Larry from Endyne why AIR doesn´t produce them anymore and it is true that AIR has gouvernment contracts since a while. Unfortunatly for us :-(

as far as the dynos go, we wanted to see if there were any differences between our MD and one of the popular local Dynojets, as we are always hearing about the rivalry of dynos in our town.

the difference was 9hp, mine actually read MORE, we are using the new POWER DYNE software from MD which will give corrected/uncorrected hp, ratings so i wanted to see what the difference was myself.

we did NOT get a chance to spray the car, as we were just plain out of time on a sunday afternoon, but i do want to, really i do!

AIR has been busy as hell since we are in this long *** war and has way to many higher paying govt stuff to do, they said they were gonna try to do some more automotive stuff soon tho.

as far as the IACV, i literally just have it plugged in, no lines hooked up, and i just manipulated it thru the hondata. and it idles like a champp even with 1600cc injectors!

thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated

They would be nuts todo automotive right now

i must post in my sleep

Yes you do Also, are you still running GSR cams?
