obd0 to obd1 guestion?????

Default obd0 to obd1 guestion?????

ok i want to convert my b16 crx to obd1 i already have the ecu jumper harness and i know i need an ecu and 4 wire o2 and someone said i could use the obd0 dizzy but i would have to convert it?? so what do i need to do to convert it and i cant find a reasonable obd1 dizzy for sale without it being way to much

You can't use an OBD-0 Distributor with OBD-1 / OBD-2 systems, the signal is just plain wrong.

or if your engine came with the engine harness you could just swap over the plugs on the dizzy for free, as long as they are OBD1

I say ebay it up! The distributor king should have what you need. I got mine from him. Good stuff.

GO BUY THE OBD1 DIZZY. if you use the OBD0 Dizzy with an OBD1 ecu (ex, p28) you will end up with a bouncing tach and a 3000RPM redline, due to the different signals sent by the two distributors. the OBD1 Computer will be confused. save yourself alot of trouble and go straight to the OBD1 Dizzy. it is deffinately necessary.
