Default jj's civic project thread.

I've been on here for a while and everyone else has a project thread. so i decide that since i just got a new housei'm going to be doing more work to the car.

i pick up this 1991 civic hatch about a year ago. havn't done much a little body work and a new stock motor.

that's what it looked like after i started fixing the body.

this is what my parts car looks like as of 2 pm yeserday danm i have to get outside to dig out to go to work that's going to suck.

i'm dong to swap out the tranny put the dx in the si and the si in the dx. because gf will be driving the si and doesn't care for being quick she rahter save on gas.

The DX looks to have a much better body. Swap as much shiz from the SI into the DX as you can. You can't take too much if you want to keep the SI a DD for your girl. You could swap around the MPFI from the SI and put it on the DX. I'd swap heads with the DX too...at least take the cam.

i need to civic lol because my gf is the on ewho got me into them and she wants "hers" to be stock for the most part. so i want to restore one stock brand new lilke it was @ the dealership new. the i can mess around the the other a turbo, b swap jdm front things like that. i can't do that stuff to her car. but yes i bought the si as a donor it's worst then what the people show but does look better in person till you start to look around.

i forgot to mention i'm going to be striping the si and putting everything onto the dx. i am waiting on getting an sedan for $75 needs axle and a motor. take the dx motor and get a set of used axle off here and it's good to go. i might even convert to standard don't know might just pick up a auto trans. and do a gas saver project.

lol went outside for about 20 mins took the seat out of the si pull one half the pan off and sanded it then i went to pull the other one of out the dx and i got tired lol. i think i may go outside now and pull it out and put the si seats in and not worry about the rust. but i need to pull the carpet and the other seats out of the si first that's going to be hard.

does anyone know how the dead pedal is scerude to the floor. my si has one but my dx doesn't and i want to put it on.

the dead pedal, grab a very very small flathead or whatever you can find to pry it up... the rubbery part that has the engraving or whatever you wanna call it, it just pops up, and there are 2 10mm i believe under neath of it.... im not sure on the bolt size, havnt worked on my car in a long *** time... good luck!!
