Hi, I just bought a new head unit for my ITR and I know I need to solder the wires from the new unit (JVC) to the adapter from the old (stock) one. The wires are quite different tho ... can anyone tell me what these mean or where to find these details?

Stock one has these (Solid Colour/Streak):
Black - ground
Yellow/Red
Brown/White
Blue/Yellow
Grey/White
Yellow/White
Red/Yellow
Blue
Blue/Yellow
White/Blue
Red/Black
Brown
Grey/Black
Blue
Brown/Black
Red/Green

The new JVC has these:
Black - Ground
Yellow - Live power
Red - Accessory power
Blue - auto antenna
Blue/White - Other equipment
White/Black and White - Left Front Sp
Grey/Black and Grey - Right front Sp
Green/Black and Green - Left Rear Sp
Purple/Black and Purple - Right Rear Sp

Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you buy an adapter harness? The adapter harness wires you should solder to the head unit wires (pretty much an industry standard, even the wire colors), and then the adapter harness just plugs into your factory harness.
