DC2 Front lip or Front air dam
a while back I saw someone made a good airdam and splitter for DC2. He was planning to sell it. Now a friend of mine interested in getting one and much rather buy than to reinvent the wheel.
Any pointer?

And yeah, Budman had a nice piece but I don't think he was contemplating "production" on a for sale basis.

I am the new owner of RRG. I am in the process of building a splitter for the Type R. It should be fininshed by the first of 2007.

Didn't RRG only make the front splitter for the 94-97 due to the different bumper design on the 98-00? Come on Andrie, your a engineer and you designed your's on the civic. Shouldn't be that hard or is it?

I think you are talking about Anthony Serra's ( Grand Am Cup Davis Acura/ Meccanic Shop North) old ITA Integra (DC2) that is now owned by Mark Carpenter who races it Nationally in F Production with the SCCA. He designed a real sweet front air dam and splitter for that car. His shop number is 914-669-9679.

nothing against the RRG people, but the spliters are desgined for IT, and aren't nearly optimized IMO.
there was a really old thread about some one getting the latest version of the RTR mold and going to sell it but that never came through for any one.
Lockwood race works produced a nice one, the constuction was close to the one i built but never used.

Have made many changes to the splitters. It is no longer a piece of .032" Al. It is a full width and is a complete undertray. Some cars I can not fit a full tray but I go back as far as I can. The splitter is made of 3/16" Polypropalene plastic. It is near inpossible to break. Pictures will be posted.

Here is my home-made monster. I'll be testing in '07:

I want the turn signal brake ducts myself
(starting that project soon if I can't find any to purchase

Here is a pic of one of Blake's (RRG) new splitters. You will see the undertray extends to the rear of the front bumper now. I will also get Blake to get me some pics of the new splitters installed and update the RoadRaceGear.com site with them.
I aspire to this Champion Audi piece:

Now that is the pro way to make an undertray, air dam extension and brake cooling duct piece. All carbon fibre to boot. It helped them win the championship for a couple of years in WC. I could only wish. Imagine the replacement cost if you damaged it!

if you can afford to make one, you can probably afford to make two..
that and they theoretically get cheaper the more you make I'd think, since the R&D and the molds would be the hardest part..
still a really nice setup though..

Damn... thats a nice piece, looks like the stuff we make for the F-22...
Andrie how much to get a copy of your splitter for the EK?

take all of that stuff with a grain of salt, but most of mugens parts are wind tunnel tested. consider the fact that we are talking about marginal gains here at best.
side skirts can make a difference but they are pretty much pointless if you are not using them to assist some underbody aerodynamic features.
