just got greddy kit, what else do i need?
i just got a greddy kit for my 99 gsr. so far, all i have is that, a spearco IC, boost and egt gauges. i am planning on an exhaust soon. what else do i need to have this thing run me safely at 7.5 psi for the next 6 months til i get hondata? spark plugs, fpr, fuel pump? again, its only at 7.5 psi.
u also got 270cc injectors with it right? you don't need anything right now.. just put the car on the dyno with a wide band O2, see how much power you're making, and then take a look @ your A/F ... that will give you an indication if your car needs something else
(like ditching the blue box and going with an FMU & VAFC, etc...) until hondata comes.

Get a 1 step colder plugs (NGK - BKR7E-11) and gap 'em .030 - .032 before everything else. Don't forget to get some synthetic oil.. other than those, your ready to go.

I would make a new oil return line, the one in the kit leaks like a sieve. A new tee for the oil feed would be good too, keep it off the block to prevent breakage.
Ok, I am stupid and didnt read it fully, get teh BOV and flange. I believe that you have to cut into the charge pipe and weld it on.
yeah, i got the hks ss bov and a spearco front mount, sorry to forgot to mention. when you guys suggested spark plugs, can i just get any aftermarket ones?
and how necessary is this:
- a new clutch
- exhaust

the clutch depends on how messed up yours is now, if its not slipping then dont change it until it starts to, and the exhuast i think would be a must..at least a 2 1/2 in for ur car but 3" would be the best...thermal makes a catback, or just get a universal turbo muffler and get custom piping...
hey DB8GSR, you suggested ngk-bkr7e-11 spark plugs. why these and not anything else? http://www.motodepot.com/street/engi..._resistor.html sells it for $20 per pack of 10. that seems like a really good deal or not-so-good plugs. please advise. thanks.
The BKR7E-11 plugs are actually good considering the price. It was recommended to me by numerous individuals when I was in the same boat as you and never looked back. I just went thru a set of these and used it for a year and never gave my car any trouble during the 4 seasons and bought another set after. I could've ran those plugs a little bit more but just don't wanna push it and want to keep my motor healthy and trouble free as much as possible.
$20 for a pack of 10 seems like a really good price. i'll go pick up some tomorrow. thanks for your help.
its about time you got a kit together huh man?
